ART JOVE CALL FOR APPLICATIONS 2018
The Catalan Youth Agency of the Regional Government of Catalonia (Generalitat de Catalunya) presents the Art Jove call for applications to develop projects throughout 2018 as part of Sala d’Art Jove programming.
A series of categories are published whose purpose is the production and mediation of artistic projects, as well as international exchanges.
The different categories will largely take place in conjunction with institutions in Catalonia, such as: MACBA Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona, the Centre d’Art La Panera, Lo Pati Centre d’Art Terres de l’Ebre, ACVIC, Centre d’Arts Contemporànies, Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya and Hangar. The international exchange takes place in conjunction with Hoger Instituut voor Schone Kunsten (HISK) in Ghent, Belgium.

1. CREATION:
• A maximum of 10 proposals will be chosen.
Award: €900 per proposal.
The projects should be developed and publicly presented in relation to the programming of Sala d’Art Jove 2018.
2. RESEACH:
• A maximum of 2 proposals will be chosen.
Award: €900 per proposal.
The projects awarded in this category will enjoy the support of MACBA, Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona.
3. PUBLISHING:
• A maximum of 2 proposals will be chosen.
Award: €1,500 per proposal.
The projects awarded in this category enjoy the support of the Centre d’Art La Panera.
4. LANDSCAPE:
• A maximum of 1 proposal will be chosen.
Award: €1,200 per proposal.
The project will be carried out in conjunction with Lo Pati Centre d’Art Terres de l’Ebre.
5. HERITAGE:
Se seleccionarà un màxim d’una proposta.
Dotació econòmica: 1.200 €.
• A maximum of 1 proposal will be chosen.
Award: €1,200 per proposal.
Award to intervention projects to be developed in the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya.
6. EDUCATION:
• A maximum of 2 proposals will be chosen.
Award: €1,200 per proposal.
The projects chosen in this category will enjoy the support of ACVIC, Centre d’Arts Contemporànies.
7. MEDIATION IN RESIDENCE:
• A maximum of two people or collectives will be chosen to be part of the working team.
Award: 1,800 euros per proposal or collective.
8. INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE:
• A maximum of two people will be chosen.
Award: 1,200 euros for the one-month stay.
The selected artists will have accommodations and a working space, as well as access to the centre’s production resources and will participate in the official HISK training programme during their stay.
