CARNE Y PIEDRA
Carne y Piedra (Flesh and Stone) is conceived as a conversation under construction; it is a hybrid between dance and sculpture, between flesh and stone. It aims to discover frictions and complicities between both artistic languages through the act of making.
The project explores different methodologies, with the aim of diluting the boundaries between matter and living beings, and at the same time rethinking the way in which the processes of materialisation take place, focusing on corporeality and subverting the separation between object and subject.
It is a theoretical-practical investigation that takes shape in an essentially performative piece from a sculptural and dance perspective, in such a way that it embraces the possibilities that appear between both languages.
Carne y Piedra is part of the collaboration between La Caldera and Sala d’Art Jove.
The project is accompanied by Maite Garbayo Maeztu.
