HOW TO LIVE IN A PANTRY
How to live in a pantry is an artistic research project that explores the new ways in which the concept of home currently combines the pantry (working classes) with the white cube (wealthy classes), plus the underlying ideologies. This work will use an autoethnographic methodology to explore the intersection between the everyday life of two artists who share a flat in the Sants-Badal neighbourhood and the stereotypes and imaginaries projected by the mass media through television, YouTube, Pinterest and interior design magazines. The research will be presented as an exhibition display made up of texts, photographs and “relatograms” reflecting the avenues of research analysed and, finally, an audiovisual work (fake review) will be produced that will combine appropriated and self-created material to show the results.
The project has been supported by Alan Carrasco.
