The project, Cridant la meva ànima by the collective, Cercle de Fades arose from the need to find a space to share our spiritual awareness in community. At a time when Western faith is splintered into new religions and multiple beliefs, we wonder how we can collectively channel our spiritual consciousness with the certainty that it enables us to navigate the uncertainty of living and supporting each other in a present, a past, and a beyond together.
In the long term, we also intend to investigate this theme with the collective creation of a performance which is currently under construction. But at this point in time, we are looking to open a mediation aspect and work on a scene from the piece with senior citizens. More specifically, we aim to hold several encounters in an old age home where we will guide opportunities for joint debate and discussion coupled with body movement dynamics. Our intention is to get the elderly people to participate in a scene, engage them in part of the creative process, generate a space to share spiritual concerns and support them at a time of uncertainty which comes when the end of life is near.
Cridant la meva ànima is part of the collaboration between La Caldera and Sala d’Art Jove and has had the collaboration of CC Golferichs.
The project is accompanied by Mauricio Sierra.
This project is both promoted and subsidized by the Department of Business and Labor of the Government of Catalunya, and co-financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).
