INTERACCIONS TERMODINÀMIQUES COS-ESPAI

The Interaccions termodinàmiques cos – espai project is about the invisible interactions between metabolic bodies: the relationship of our own body with space and the bodies of others. I intend to study spatial and metabolic concepts as mathematics and poetry to generate new ways of expressing everyday feelings.

“Temperature is resistance, air is empathy.” This is the premise of a project that I approach with a certain emotional density, like the density of stagnant air in a room that hasn’t been aired for days.

At a certain point, Mallarmé replaces the words le ciel in his poems with l’azur. Similarly, I analyse the semantic elasticity of the word climate. Climate is seen as a mysterious hyper-object which eludes any predictive model trying to capture a precise idea, in part or in whole, of concrete events taking place within the chaos of the system. Climate is seen as the engine of original questions, the most elementary of the human condition, and also of my own questions: what is air? What is temperature? What is art in architecture?
I yawn; my brain is short of air. I should open the window.
