A LES DOTZE AL PONT

A les dotze al pont (At twelve o’clock on the bridge) es a collective action that aims to inhabit a space through unusual choreographies, with the intention of generating an everyday imaginary with eccentric and apocalyptic touches. The municipal swimming pools of Guimerà (Urgell) are the main stage of the project to illustrate the most immediate consequences of climate change in Les Terres de Ponent. The pools, the only water points in the municipality of Guimerà, act as a climatic refuge for all the neighbours, but the fact that they are 500 metres from the village makes it difficult to reach them due to the high temperatures in summer, when they are open. Through collectivity and the neighbourhood network, a rethinking of the route and the way of getting to the pools is proposed to stage a dystopian future, which is not too far away, as a precious asset in a world that is heading towards a scarcity of resources. This project emphasises territorial mediation through the activation of public spaces, in this case the municipal swimming pools, and records the action as a documentary testimony.

The project is accompanied by Roger Bernat.
