HACER MIGAS
Hacer migas is a project that is approached as an essay: it is an exercise that seeks to find methods through which to codify a type of knowledge far removed from the word and written language itself. At the same time, it is understood from the outset that the process of making migas is knowledge intrinsically condemned to loss and oblivion. Hence, the premise of the work is to generate practices related to the notions of memory, loss and language. The starting point is a traditional recipe with all the weight that this context entails.
Through experimentation and artistic practice, the artist focuses on the way in which a knowledge of gesture and of what is unattainable with words, learned especially by women who could not retain it through writing, has been gestated and transmitted.
The project has been supported by Cultural Rizoma.
