Volta, bola, voladís comes out of a context that I feel close to after observing my surroundings and being inspired by the architectural forms of the Cement Museum in Castellar de n’Hug.

The process is performed with materials that have been with me over the last few months: cement and paper. They are materials formed by fibrils which embrace each other to create a whole, a compact massif. Based on this relationship, I intend to subvert the traditional idea associated with each one to intertwine their languages and shape volumes which challenge their aesthetic and procedural relationship. The sculptural results, the outcome of this starting point, will engage in dialogue with the Museum’s architecture and lead to an exhibition project in this venue.

The project is accompanied by Mònica Planes.
