¿QUÉ CASA PARA TI?
¿Qué casa para ti? is an artistic, social and urban research project that analyses empty spaces, as seen in traces of old houses or demolished buildings in public spaces, bearing witness to dissociations between the urban fabric and the social fabric of an area; these are spaces in limbo, often associated with underlying conflicts over the question of housing.
The story of an old demolished house at Carrer de l’Art, 43, in the Guinardó neighbourhood (Barcelona) and the works currently underway there are the starting point for a project which seeks to contrast the town planning approaches being rolled out in this area of the city with the accounts of the people who live there or travel through it, highlighting the realities and dynamics which may be signified by spaces that are no longer present in the neighbourhood.
