SORRY, I’M SOOO HAPPY

Sorry, I’m sooo happy researches the history of the white T-shirt as a political banner and the process of depoliticisation and loss of meaning it has undergone. Good vibes and pastel colours seem to be the ultimate solution to the general malaise. Based on a collection of more than sixty T-shirts worn by the children at the play centre where I worked, I analyse the representation of positivity and rethink the T-shirt as a subversive and communicative object faced with an uncertain future and a depressing present.

The project has been supported by Nyam Nyam.

Sorry, I’m sooo happy is part of a joint programme organised by ACVic, Centre d’Arts Contemporànies, and Sala d’Art Jove.
