On the occasion of Tàpies Year, Sala d’Art Jove and the Fundació Antoni Tàpies present Pols. Laboratori de recerca col-laborativa.

The aim of the call is to encourage research and material experimentation, generating a collective and collaborative work space where links are established between the selected people and the Fundació Antoni Tàpies. The aim is to set up a working group to investigate materiality in contemporary creation and to bring the selected artists into contact with the Fundació Antoni Tàpies’ current lines of work.

The call is aimed at artists who have been selected in the Sala d’Art Jove’s calls over the last five years, who wish to carry out research in the material sphere and who have a strong interest in collective work.

The aim of the call is to generate a workspace where the group can investigate and experiment with materiality in artistic creation. This workspace will be active during the months of April and May 2024, with meetings twice a week, and will be accompanied by an artist or curator who will help the team to formalise the proposal and to collectively investigate the implications of matter in contemporaneity. The Fundació Antoni Tàpies will provide a working and meeting space for the development of the project. The research process will end with a public presentation, which will be defined by the participants themselves, and which will take place on the 4th of June of 2024.
