The Catalan Youth Agency of the Government of Catalunya presents the call Art Jove Creació to develop 18 projects within the framework of the Sala d’Art Jove during the year 2023.

The call is not aimed at a specific discipline or technique, but rather aims to support artistic creation in a broad sense. At Sala d’Art Jove we understand artistic creation as a process based on experimentation, research and the development of critical devices rooted in the contemporary context.

The Art Jove Creació awards are intended to facilitate and accompany the development of creative projects in the visual arts by young artists. They may be related, among other aspects, to creation, production, research, publishing, education or intervention related to the territory and must be approached from a critical and contemporary perspective.

Sala d’Art Jove has a wide network of collaborations in the Catalan context that allows it to convey projects that are akin to these processes: ACVic, Centro de Artes Contemporáneas, in terms of support for art education and Lo Pati, Centro de Arte de Les Terres de l’Ebre, with regard to intervention in the territory.

In addition, the Sala d’Art Jove collaborates with Hangar and La Escocesa in artistic production and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona (MACBA) in art research. Accompaniment will be given on a regular basis to all selected participants.

Each prize is granted a fee of 1.350 €.
