The Art Jove Creació award aims to facilitate and accompany the development of creative projects in the visual arts by young artists. Each year a total of 18 projects are selected that may be linked, among other aspects, to creation, production, research, publishing, education or intervention in the territory. The call is not aimed at a specific discipline or technique, but rather aims to support artistic creation in a broad sense.
Some of the projects have the support of different collaborating institutions, such as the ACVIC, Center for Contemporary Arts, with respect to support in art education; the Center d’Art La Panera de Lleida, in terms of publications, and Lo Pati, Art Center of Les Terres de l’Ebre, in relation to intervention in the territory. In addition, the Sala d’Art Jove receives the collaboration of Hangar and La Escocesa in supporting artistic production and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona (MACBA) in art research.
