Pols is a research laboratory in which different artistic practices converse to find a point of convergence through diverse materiality. This material, which is distanced from a defined form, serves to bring bodies into dialogue through contact and their diverse languages. From here we want to understand materiality as a virtuality; as something more or less alien to us, but which acts in accordance to their own intentions and uses.

After a month of extended research, these material formations are presented in a format of an open conversation: a space that allows us to lay bare our processes and question our decisions.

This activity is part of the internal call “Pols. Laboratori de recerca col-laborativa” (“Pols. Laboratory of Collective Research”) in collaboration with Fundació Antoni Tàpies. The aim of the proposal is to generate a workspace in which to investigate and experiment materiality within artistic creation.
