Art Jove Creation

The goal of the Art Jove Creation award is to facilitate and mentor the development of young artists’ visual art creation projects. Every year, a total of 18 projects are chosen, which may be related to aspects like creation, production, investigation, publication, education or intervention in the territory. The call for applications is not targeted at a specific discipline or technique but instead seeks to support artistic creation in its broadest sense.

Some of the projects are supported by different partner institutions, like ACVic, Centre d’Arts Contemporànies, which supports art education; and Lo Pati, Centre d’Art in Terres de l’Ebre, which supports intervention in the territory. Furthermore, Sala d’Art Jove also partners with Hangar and La Escocesa to support artistic production and with the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) in art investigation.

All the individuals and groups chosen in Art Jove Creació are mentored by a specific outside agent chosen to track their projects, coupled with occasional meetings with different art professionals.
