Here lies our gesture: to scratch the surface of the world as we know it – or how we have been led to believe it is.

because behind the surfaces we live in and do what we do, we find not only matter and organic provision but also all the human and discursive machinery from which a certain logic to life itself arises.

scratching the surface of meaning is attending to the eventuality of what is still necessary, and urgent even.

this is why we are sharing artistic projects that demonstrate a sharp capacity to recognise the reality around us, to react to the already existing, that which is determined by infrastructures, to highlight the provisionality of all and any surface when the limits and terms are broken down.

in this exhibition programme, our artists will work on both the issues reflected and on the conscience reflecting them, generating paths for research and art that rethink other sensitivities.
