In the production phase of this years’ Programa d’Investigació Curatorial (PIC), Max Azemar, Luca Calderó and Salva G. Ojeda reinterpret the practice of Joan Brossa, which, from contemporary visual arts, is understood as “paratheatre”.

The exhibition Other trash: stop theatre comes to light from a previosu explosion, that of  Otros Brosses: el parateatro, curated by Joan Maria Minguet. The exhibition attemps to reflect on those object-based performative and structural devices that shape the very exhibition expereince.

The Programa de Investigación Curatorial (P.I.C.) (Curatorial Research Program, P.I.C.) is a program born out of a collaboration between Sala d’Art Jove and the Fundació Brossa – Centre de les Arts Lliures. It is structured around a team of independent artists and curators who work physically at the Centre de les Arts Lliures in a process of curatorial research. The project’s main objective is to enhance the artistic and cultural legacy, relating it to contemporary creation and thought. Likewise, it is a research process open to new generations of artists and independent curators.
